Pickup trucks are like sports cars without a cloth top – really, really big sports cars. Unless you actually bought a truck to get some work done, you’ll probably want to indulge the inner sports car in yours. Some tasteful customization will be called for.
This having been said, there’s an ill-defined boundary between a few [...]

Satellite radio certainly seemed like a cool idea, and we dithered for ages over subscribing to it. Being able to fire up a radio and have it play actual music, rather than a few tunes hammered into the dead air between commercials and babbling announcers, would arguably be worth paying for.
When the competing Sirius and [...]

While it might appear to be a GPS device intended for use by people who never successfully managed to program the clocks on their VCRs back in the day, the BackTrack is actually just very clever and very simple to use. It maintains its impressive simplicity by only doing one thing, albeit very well.

Ford makes the best pickup trucks in the known universe, and this is easily the best one they’ve ever built. More fun to drive than is probably legal in some jurisdictions, brilliantly thought-out, ruggedly constructed and enjoyable to look at, it’s enough to make one believe that all the bad press automobile manufacturers have been [...]

People who buy satellite navigation systems to drive around the suburbs might be deluding themselves. Out in the frozen wastes of rural Ontario, a good GPS receiver is almost as important as a good coat.
A good GPS receiver that can tell you where the nearest gas station is defies description.

The Mio C520 is one the [...]

Pretty well every car and light truck sold in the western world made in 1996 or later has a common feature – a bit of plastic hidden somewhere in the passenger compartment called an OBD2 port. OBD stands for “on board diagnostics.” It’s an interface to the computer that manages the engine and innumerable subsystems [...]

While SUVs are decidedly unfashionable in some quarters, when it’s twenty below in the middle of January, you don’t want to be caught outside in northern Ontario driving a SmartCar. The Explorer Sport-Trac, despite its slightly upmarket name, is a serious little truck that can do battle with all four seasons.
It’s also just about the [...]
