We have been using a rocket hub for about a year and a half with variable success. The home phone portion usually works great...unless you are on hold too long... or having a long phone conversation then sometimes it hangs up on you.

The internet is iffy. Sometimes its amazingly great. Pages load instantly, netflix works like a dream and itunes download in seconds. In as little as 30 seconds the internet is gone completely. Web pages say they can't load, net flix quits, itunes downloads take ALL day! Usually we just hit the off button then turn it back on again. We have moved the box all around the house to try and find the best place for it. So far it doesn't seem to matter where it is placed. Our box looks a lot different then the two pictures you showed...it looks a lot more like a regular wifi box...so we can never tell how strong the connection really is. Both computers always say its "average". Anyways, we hope to be able to get regular high speed internet one day. So far our local providers have "no plans" in heading out our way. The funniest part is...less then 5 minutes down the road people have regular high speed internet. Sheeesh. I wonder about looking into an antenna. That might be really really helpful!!!

Great review and article. I have had this model for 6 years and have had some problems with seals. Now the pressure is awful so the comments on the turbine are very helpful.
GE tells me that the resin only has a life of 5 to 6 years in Florida. Maybe alligator scales decrease the life from the 8 to 10 years it should get.

I am now going to look at other flow monitoring water softeners.

Have you considered the WaterBoss brand of softners? They are compact and efficient. I don't have iron in my water, just a lot of calcium and some sand, so a whole house water filter keeps that particulate stuff out of the softner. I've had one since 2003 and the only maintenance is to add salt and wipe dust off the cover.

I just had replaced my old LPs for a Nighthawk and a Prophecy GX. Unbelievable look and quality for the money. The only mod I did on the GX, is replaced the pearl knobs for the Gibson black top hats. Now it looks sikly serious, as it sounds.

I agree the limitations of this edition are of little consequence to home users. Corel did not do such a good job removing these pro features from the Home and Student package. On first using the CorelPaint application it notified me it was unable to initialize Visual Basic - i.e. Visual Basic hadn't been removed with any great care. The installation still had empty folders for Visual Basic and Visual Studio in it's documentation directories. None the less it still loads my Version 12 drawings and that backward compatibility is important. Very good value - I'm very pleased.

Hi there, very nice review. I work with digital pianos in Brazil and this model is one of the betters between the "real portables" digital pianos. Great option for the professional musician that plays each night in different places.

If you have a pile of brush or limbs to burn that may be a little wet, not wanting to burn, just get it started with a little charcoal lighter fluid, crank the ole pb200, stick the nozzle sort of close to the fire, lock down the throttle and sit back and watch your very own backyard volcano. Fun. Thanks for having such a friendly site to visit.
